Tarot for Beginners - Workshop

Tarot is an ancient divination technique used by mystics for centuries. It is a magical tool for fortune telling, but is also embraced as a gateway to self-discovery.
 
Tarot is often recognised as the mirror in which one can see themselves. If you're drawn to this craft, set yourself up to read by learning the basics with Lady Bijou. This Tarot workshop is tailored for beginners who would like an introduction to Tarot and how to start interpreting the cards.
 
You will learn about symbology, patterns and the cultural meanings given to the cards. In addition you'll be taught some basic ways to start practicing reading, connecting and understanding the Tarot.
 
* A Tarot deck will be provided for learning 
** please bring a notebook if you'd like to take notes
 
Host: Lady Bijou - I have been studying Tarot for 20yrs. I am now a professional reader booked for events and private readings. My weekly residency is held at The Shady Lady, I am honoured to share my knowledge at my local haunt.
 
Where: The Shady Lady - 36 Johnston St, Fitzroy, 3065. This workshop takes place in the covered courtyard.
Close to public transport (11 and 96 Trams / Street parking available)

When: 1/3/2025 @ 2pm sharp. Please arrange to be out the front of the bar 5 mins early. Please note Dusty’s cafe next door will be open for coffee while you wait.
 
Shady Lady will be closed to the public, so the door will be locked once the workshop commences.

Tea and water will be provided.

Fee $75 pp - Tix are non-refundable/non-transferrable.
 
Duration: 3 hrs - includes a break. The Shady Lady opens to the public at 5pm. Please feel free to stay for questions and a drink afterwards *optional
