At Temple Maenad, we gather where the veil between worlds grows thin. Ours is a living circle, a community of witches who come together to honour the ancient rhythm of the Wheel of the Year, meeting at each of the eight sacred Sabbats as the seasons turn and transform.
Every six weeks, within the grand hall of the Lithuanian Club, the ordinary dissolves into something otherworldly. Candlelight flickers against shadowed walls, incense curls through the air and the space awakens... becoming a sanctuary between realms. Here, we step out of the mundane and into the mysterious. *Due to filming at the Lithuanian club, Sabbats from July will be held at Library Portal.
Our name is drawn from the Maenads, the ecstatic devotees of Dionysus. Those wild, untamed spirits who danced at the edge of the divine. Like them, we gather in reverence and in revelry, embracing both stillness and abandon, honouring the sacred through ritual, connection and embodied presence.
Each Sabbat is its own spell: a weaving of intention, seasonal magic and shared energy. We mark the cycles of growth and decay, light and shadow, descent and renewal, not only in the world around us, but within ourselves. Through ritual, storytelling and communion, we attune to the pulse of the earth and the deeper currents that guide us.
Temple Maenad is more than a gathering... it is an experience of belonging, transformation and enchantment. A place where the mystical is called, the senses are awakened and the spirit is free to wander.

When
Our gatherings unfold on the Saturday prior to each Sabbat, moving in quiet harmony with the turning of the year. Each date is shaped by nature’s shifting timelines by honouring what is unfolding both around us in the world and within.
We ask that you arrive ten minutes early, allowing yourself a gentle transition from the outer world into the sacred container we create. Each gathering spans two hours, held as a quiet ritual and celebration.

Where
The Lithuanian Club is a cultural gem and an old-world hall that quietly holds stories and generations of gathering within its walls. There is a timelessness to the space: high ceilings, checkered floors and an atmosphere that seems to hum with memory and presence.

NEXT SABBAT: Imbolc
At the waning of winter, we arrive at Imbolc, a sacred moment of emergence, where the earth begins to stir beneath the frosty mantle and the first whispers of new life awaken in the dark.
This is the season of the first spark. The liminal space between rest and renewal, where what has been gestating unseen begins to reach toward the light.
Imbolc is a festival of hope, inspiration and becoming. A time to tend the inner flame, to honour the dreams that survived the winter and to nurture the seeds of possibility waiting to unfurl.
At Temple Maenad, we gather in ritual to honour this sacred turning of the Wheel. Together, we will welcome the returning light, awakening our creative spirit and reconnecting with the deep well of wisdom that lives within.
