Winter Solstice Walkshop

Join me at CERES Community Environment Park for a seasonal walkshop exploring the wisdom of winter through nature, ritual and reflection. Together, we’ll wander through the gardens observing nature’s cues during the cold season discussing the quiet intelligence of rest, the necessity of darkness, and the sacred pause of the upcoming Winter Solstice that allows for dreaming, restoration and renewal.

Through the flora, fauna, seasonal foods, and the ancient traditions of Yule (the origins of many modern Christmas customs), we’ll explore how our ancestors understood winter not as emptiness, but as a powerful threshold of transformation. The Solstice is a magical liminal space: the moment we stand between what was and what will be, between the longest night and the slow return of light.

Along the way, I’ll share traditional Winter Solstice rituals and practices for intention setting, reflection, and connecting with the rhythms of the Earth. Together we’ll create seasonal wreaths and craft dream candles infused with your visions, hopes, and intentions for the year ahead to carry your dreams gently into the returning light.

Come gather in community to honour winter’s stillness, reconnect with nature’s cycles, and welcome the turning of the wheel.
